Simple Budget Template. Since there are no numbers or specific questions filled in, there is no math problem to solve right now.
However, I can explain how you would use this form if you had your own money numbers to put in it.
How to use this template:
1.
Month: Write the current month (for example, "April") on the line next to "Month:".
2.
Total Income: This is all the money you get. Add up your allowance, gifts, or job money and write that total in the "Total Income" box at the top left.
3.
Expenses List: Look at the big table in the middle.
*
Expenses: Write down things you spent money on (like "Lunch," "Movie Ticket," or "Video Game").
*
Amount: Write down how much each thing cost.
*
Notes: You can write extra details here if you want (like "Bought with friend").
4.
Total Expenses: Add up all the numbers in the "Amount" column. Write that final sum in the "Total Expenses" box at the top middle.
5.
Total Balance: This tells you how much money you have left.
* Take your
Total Income number.
* Subtract your
Total Expenses number.
* Write the answer in the "Total Balance" box.
Formula:
$$ \text{Total Income} - \text{Total Expenses} = \text{Total Balance} $$
Since the form is empty, there is no single correct answer yet. You need to fill in your own spending data to complete it!
Parent Tip: Review the logic above to help your child master the concept of basic budget worksheet.
