- A bully is someone, he/she wants to hurt other students.
- A bully is often aggressive, self-centred and selfish.
- The victims are considered weak by the bully.
- They are often younger, quieter and insecure boys/girls. The victim hasn't got many friends in class. Victims are often new students (= immigrants) or students with physical/mental problems. But remember, every child can be bullied!
- Bullying consists of teasing, mistreating or intimidating one student.
- They bully can act alone, or with the help of a small group.
- The "spectators" (= other students, the class) should help the victim: they are afraid of becoming the next victim! Bullying can be either physical (hitting, punching, kicking, damaging or stealing things) or verbal (teasing, name-calling, etc.).
- Bullying occurs in all areas of the school building; more often it occurs in P.E., during lunch, along the corridors, in the bathrooms, on school buses (at the bus stop), or during after-school activities.
- THE VICTIM SHOULD TALK TO THE TEACHERS
- FRIENDS IN CLASS MUST STOP THE BULLY
