1. Abiotic: Sun, water, rocks, soil, air.
Primary Producers: Trees, grasses, flowers.
Primary Consumers: Squirrel, rabbit, fish.
Secondary Consumers: Hawk.
Decomposers: Fungi, bacteria (implied by decaying matter).
2. Without sunlight, plants cannot perform photosynthesis, leading to their death. This would cause a collapse in the food chain as primary consumers lose their food source, followed by secondary consumers.
3. Lack of rainfall would dry up the stream, killing aquatic life and reducing water for plants and animals. Plants would wilt and die, causing starvation for herbivores and subsequently for carnivores.
4. An overpopulation of hawks would lead to over-predation of rabbits, squirrels, and fish, drastically reducing their populations. This could eventually cause hawk starvation due to lack of prey.
5. Raw sewage would pollute the stream, killing fish and other aquatic organisms. Toxic substances could also harm animals that drink from the stream and contaminate plants along its banks.
