- Tic Tac Toe: A game for two players where each takes turns marking a 3x3 grid with their symbol (X or O). The first to get three of their marks in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) wins.
- Dots and Boxes: Two players take turns connecting adjacent dots on a grid with lines. When a player completes a box by drawing the fourth side, they claim it and get another turn. The player with the most boxes at the end wins.
- Hangman: One player thinks of a word and draws blanks for each letter. The other player guesses letters one at a time. For each incorrect guess, part of a hangman figure is drawn. The guessing player wins if they guess the word before the hangman is complete; otherwise, the word chooser wins.
- Battleship: Each player places ships of varying sizes on a hidden 8x8 grid. Players take turns calling out coordinates to “fire” at the opponent’s grid. The goal is to sink all of the opponent’s ships by hitting every square they occupy. The first player to sink all enemy ships wins.
