- Print or trace the provided templates (Inside Flower, Outside Flower, Circle Black, and Leaf) onto colored construction paper or cardstock.
- Cut out all the traced shapes: one Inside Flower, one Outside Flower, two Leaves, and one Circle.
- Optionally, use a pencil to roll each petal of the Inside Flower inward to create a 3D curled effect.
- Glue the Inside Flower on top of the center of the Outside Flower.
- Glue the Circle on top of the center of the Inside Flower.
- Glue the two Leaves underneath the Outside Flower.
- If using a writing prompt, complete it and glue it onto the right side of a 9" x 12" sheet of black construction paper.
- Glue the assembled poppy onto the left side of the black sheet of construction paper.
