This worksheet is designed to help you practice controlling your pencil and making smooth lines. Here's how to complete each row:
Row 1: Spirals
- Start at the outside of the first spiral
- Follow the dotted line inward, going around in a circle until you reach the center
- Do this for all five spirals
- Try to keep your line smooth and stay on the dotted path
Row 2: Loops
- Start at the left end
- Make loop shapes like lowercase "e" letters or roller coaster hills
- Go up, around, and down for each loop
- Connect them smoothly from left to right
Row 3: Zigzag/Wave Line
- Start at the left
- Follow the wavy dotted line that goes up and down
- Make smooth curves, not sharp points
- Keep going across the whole row
Row 4: Diagonal Lines
- These are straight lines going from bottom-left to top-right
- Draw each diagonal line separately
- Try to make them all the same angle and length
- Keep even spacing between the lines
Row 5: Waves
- Similar to row 3, but these waves are more rounded
- Start at the left and follow the dotted wave pattern
- Go up, curve over, go down, curve under
- Continue this pattern across the page
Tips for Success:
- Use a pencil so you can erase if needed
- Go slowly and carefully
- Keep your wrist relaxed
- Look ahead at where the line is going, not just at your pencil tip
- Practice makes perfect!
