1. A large stone was placed in front of Jesus’ tomb to block the entrance. Guards took watch outside of Jesus’ tomb.
2. The women went to the disciples, and told them what had happened. They did not believe the women, except for Peter, who ran to the tomb of Jesus.
3. Peter arrived at the tomb, and saw nothing but strips of linen on the ground.
4. The women found strips of white linen inside the tomb, but no body. Two angels appeared to them and told them Jesus had Risen!
5. Jesus appeared to the women at the tomb. He told them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers that they must leave for Galilee; they will see me there.”
6. With the permission of the Governor, Pontius Pilate, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus took Jesus’ body down from the cross, cleansed him, wrapped him in the white linen, and buried him in the tomb.
7. Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, set out to visit Jesus’ tomb. They took with them spices and perfume, to anoint his body.
