1) Vitamins and 2) minerals are nutrients that our bodies need to work properly. They make the immune system work better, support the normal growth and development of our bodies, help cells and organs to do their jobs. Although we get vitamins and minerals every day from the food we eat, it’s necessary to remember that some products contain more vitamins and minerals than others. If you want to have good eyesight and not to suffer from the lack of appetite and have just perfect skin, then you should eat carrots and broccoli as they are full of vitamin A. Vitamin B, for example, is good for our nervous system, digestion, growth, perfect hair and nails and can be found in such products as milk, eggs, meat, nuts. If you want to have healthy skin, eat vitamin E which is contained in such products as broccoli, nuts, spinach. What is more, vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant, which is believed to lower the risk of cancer, heart diseases and memory loss. If the resistance of your immune system is weak and you often suffer from different infections, then it means you have shortage of vitamin C in your body. Eat oranges, lemons, broccoli and you’ll notice some changes for the better in your organism. Do you want to have strong bones and teeth? Then include such products as fish, milk, cheese into your daily ration as they are full of vitamin D which helps our bones to grow properly. And what about minerals? Are they as important as vitamins? Of course, they are, as they also play a vital role for our bodies. If there is lack of calcium in your organism you’ll have poor teeth and weak bones. In order to escape these problems you need to eat dairy products and drink milk daily. Iron and zinc are also of great importance. Iron maintains healthy bone cells and zinc helps our bodies to process carbon dioxide and fat. You can find zinc in meat, seafood and calcium in milk, cheese, broccoli. Eating the right balance of foods from the groups mentioned above will make you sure that your body gets all it needs to stay healthy.
