1. Count each item listed (desks, books, windows, chairs, lamps, pictures on walls, shelves) in your home or classroom and record the number in the corresponding row and column for each item.
2. For the teacher’s desk, record it separately under “desks” but note in a comment or footnote that it is not a student desk. Alternatively, create a subcategory like “student desks” and “teacher’s desk” within the desks row.
3. For shelves, categorize them based on attachment: count wall-mounted shelves and freestanding shelves separately, or add a note specifying how many are attached to walls versus free-standing. Record totals accordingly in the chart.
