This worksheet is designed to help you practice writing the letter A (uppercase) and a (lowercase). Here is how to complete the task step-by-step:

Step 1: Trace the Big Letters

At the top of the page, there are large letters with dotted lines and arrows.
* Uppercase A: Start at the top dot labeled "1". Go down to the left. Then, go back to the top dot "2" and go down to the right. Finally, start at dot "3" in the middle and draw a straight line across to the right.
* Lowercase a: Start near the top right at dot "1". Go down in a straight line. Then, start at dot "2" and make a circle around to close the shape.

Step 2: Look at the Pictures

The pictures show things that start with the letter A:
* Apple (with an ant or worm)
* Ant
* Acorn

For the Uppercase A:
1. Find the first row of big As.
2. Place your pencil on the top dot.
3. Follow the dotted line down to the left bottom.
4. Go back to the top dot and follow the dotted line down to the right bottom.
5. Finish by drawing the horizontal line across the middle from left to right.
6. Repeat this for all four uppercase As in that row.

For the Lowercase a:
1. Find the bottom row of small as.
2. Start at the top right dot.
3. Draw a straight line down.
4. Go back to the top and draw a circle around to meet the bottom of the line.
