Q2. Put these words in the correct spaces below:
Pollination gets the pollen from the anther to the stigma. Pollen lands on the stigma but its nucleus has to fuse with the ovule nucleus. To do this a sticky solution on the top of the stigma stops the pollen from falling off or blowing away. The pollen makes pollen tubes which grow down the style and into the ovule. When it reaches the ovule, the pollen nucleus moves down the tube and fuses with the ovule nucleus. The ovule has then been fertilised.
