1. Shadows are made when an opaque object blocks light from shining on a surface.
2. When we move an object closer to the light source, the shadow will be bigger and fuzzier.
3. When we move an object further away from the light source, the shadow will be smaller and clearer.
4. For the drawing section:
- 7:00am – Early Morning: Sun is low on the horizon (left side), object casts a long shadow to the right.
- 10:00am – Late Morning: Sun is higher (upper left), shadow is shorter and to the right.
- 12:00pm – Midday: Sun is directly overhead (top center), shadow is shortest and directly beneath the object.
- 5:00pm – Early Evening: Sun is low on the horizon (right side), shadow is long and to the left.
