Once upon a time, there was an old lady. Her name was Mrs. Green. One sunny morning, she saw her little cat, Muffin, sitting in the garden looking very dirty and sad. She decided to give Muffin a bath.
Mrs. Green filled a big wooden tub with warm water. She gently picked up Muffin and placed him in the tub. At first, Muffin didn't like it and tried to jump out, but Mrs. Green held him softly and washed him with soap. Soon, Muffin started to purr, enjoying the warm water and gentle scrubbing.
After the bath, Mrs. Green dried Muffin with a soft towel. He looked so clean and fluffy! She took him outside to sit by the window as the sun set, letting his fur dry completely in the warm evening air.
Later, Mrs. Green sat on her cozy armchair, watching television. Muffin jumped onto her lap, curled up, and fell asleep, purring happily. Mrs. Green smiled, feeling proud of how clean and content her little friend was.
That night, Muffin slept peacefully in his soft basket beside Mrs. Green’s bed. He dreamed of chasing butterflies in the garden, now that he was clean and fresh. Mrs. Green whispered goodnight to him, knowing he had a wonderful day—and so did she.
