You're working on a Comparative and Superlative Adjectives Worksheet. The goal is to fill in the comparative (used when comparing two things) and superlative (used when comparing three or more things) forms of each adjective.

Here’s how it works:

---

📝 Rules for Forming Comparative and Superlative Adjectives:

1. One-syllable adjectives:
→ Add -er for comparative, -est for superlative.
*Example: big → bigger → biggest*

2. One-syllable adjectives ending in “e”:
→ Just add -r and -st.
*Example: large → larger → largest*

3. One-syllable adjectives ending in consonant + y:
→ Change y → i, then add -er / -est.
*Example: happy → happier → happiest*

4. Two-syllable adjectives ending in “y”:
→ Same as above: y → i, then -er / -est.
*Example: silly → sillier → silliest*

5. Most other two-syllable and all multi-syllable adjectives:
→ Use more for comparative, most for superlative.
*Example: beautiful → more beautiful → most beautiful*

6. Irregular adjectives (must be memorized):
*good → better → best*
*bad → worse → worst*
*far → farther/further → farthest/furthest*

---

Now, let’s fill in your worksheet:

| Adjective | Comparative Form | Superlative Form |
|------------|------------------|------------------|
| big | bigger | biggest |
| hot | hotter | hottest |
| sick | sicker | sickest |
| rich | richer | richest |
| strong | stronger | strongest |
| soft | softer | softest |
| cold | colder | coldest |
| poor | poorer | poorest |
| loud | louder | loudest |
| wealthy | wealthier | wealthiest |
| rough | rougher | roughest |
| weak | weaker | weakest |
| quiet | quieter | quietest |
| short | shorter | shortest |

---

🧠 Notes:

- Wealthy is a two-syllable adjective ending in “y”, so we change y → iwealthier, wealthiest.
- All others here are one-syllable or follow regular patterns — no irregulars needed!
- Remember: “more/most” is NOT used for these words — they’re all regular one- or two-syllable adjectives that take -er/-est.
