Photosynthesis
The roots of a plant absorb water and minerals from the soil.
They are transported from the roots to the leaves. This mixture is called sap.
Carbon dioxide enters through the stomata (tiny holes) of the leaves. The chlorophyll absorbs the sun’s energy.
Chlorophyll uses this energy to transform carbon dioxide, minerals and water into glucose and oxygen.
The glucose is distributed to all the parts of the plant. Oxygen escapes from the leaves through the stomata.
It goes in: Carbon dioxide and water
It goes out: Oxygen and glucose
4. Answer the questions.
